The US-Israeli war with Iran is “not over” because there’s nuclear material in the country that still needs to be removed, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.
“You go in, and you take it out,” Netanyahu said in an interview with CBS’ 60 Minutes when asked about Iran’s highly enriched uranium. “All that is still there, and there’s work to be done.”
Netanyahu declined to elaborate when asked if US or Israeli special forces would enter Iran to remove the nuclear material. He said President Donald Trump has indicated that he wished to go into Iran.
“I think it can be done physically,” Netanyahu told CBS. “That’s not the problem. That’s a terrifically important mission.”
The best way forward would be an agreement with Iran on the nuclear material, he said.
