Kohls Store Closures: Final Day for 27 Locations Across 15 States
The last day of operation for more than two dozen Kohl’s store closings, including some in California, is quickly approaching.
In January, the department store said it would eliminate 27 underperforming locations by April.

Fifteen states are home to the impacted Kohl’s store closures.
Local media reports say three sites—in Mountain View, California; Stoughton, Massachusetts; and Herndon, Virginia—have already closed.
Kohl’s Store Closures Taking Effect on March 29
According to banners on their websites, Saturday, March 29, marks the last day of operation for the other 24 Kohl’s store closings. Among these stores are:

California: Balboa (San Diego), Encinitas, Fremont, Napa, Pleasanton, Point West (Sacramento), San Rafael, San Luis Obispo, Westchester
Arapahoe Crossing in Colorado (Aurora)
Georgia: Duluth
Boise, Idaho
Illinois: Spring Hill and Plainfield (West Dundee)
New Jersey: East Windsor
Ohio: Forest Park and Blue Ash (Cincinnati)
Oregon: Gateway to Portland
Pottstown, Pennsylvania
North Dallas, Texas
Riverton, Utah
Virginia: Willamsburg

The business has promised that affected Kohl’s store closure workers will either get severance payments or be able to seek for other company open positions.
Why Are Kohl’s Store Closures Happening?
In recent years, the Wisconsin-based store has seen falling sales. Kohl’s said last week that as part of a financial restructuring campaign it was ending its Amazon return services at several sites.

Kohl’s store closings, like those of other stores, reflect a bigger trend as businesses respond to evolving consumer behaviour and more online buying. While Dollar General verified about 100 shop closings, Macy’s just revealed intentions to shut down more than 60 sites.
